Brian Allan

Brian Allan (born October 28, 1971) is a Scottish musical entrepreneur, songwriter, record producer, singer and is the founder of “Global One”[1] and “Poland…Why Not?”[2] projects. As an independent artist, 16 of his compositions received airplay in Canada and the UK, while 36 of his songs made their way into UK movies. In 2002 he was signed to an EMI imprint (2K Sounds)[3] in Los Angeles and relocated to California where he began writing songs with celebrated North American composers such as Steve Dorff, Randy Bachman, Jud Friedman, Jamie Houston and lead singer of KISS, Paul Stanley, amongst others. He also discovered a young starlet called Holly Brook and managed her early in her career. Brook went on to sign a deal with Warner Bros imprint Machine Shop Records. She later found fame as the guest vocalist on Fort Minor’s “Where'd you Go”[4] hit song.

In 2004 Allan moved to Poland where he formed a band called “Why Not?” and entered the local charts with his compositions “I still love you” [5] as well as Christmas hit “On Christmas Day”[6] which featured multiple Polish stars[7] and features on EMI’s best selling Christmas CD each year. Allan also wrote “Loving You” for Polish superstar Edyta Górniak.

Allan invited some of his former US writing partners to come to Poland and collaborate with a host of Polish stars he believed may have enough ability to break into the international markets as the first Polish stars to be world renowned. This project became “Poland…Why Not?”. The latest addition to song writers and producers on ”Poland….Why Not” is Jim Beanz. On ”Poland…Why Not?” Beanz worked closely with singer, actress, dancer Natasza Urbanska.

Global One

Allan also created the Global One project. Global One is a major global music project in the works, uniting 25 countries around one theme and across one platform and includes China’s Wei Wei, Brazil’s Daniela Mercury, Poland’s Kayah, India’s Sonu Nigam, Indonesia’s Ruth Sahanaya and Russia’s Valeriya and Sergey Lazarev.
